Delhi High Court Denies Bail, Says Uploading Minor’s Obscene Content has Lasting Impact

The Delhi High Court refused bail to an accused who allegedly sexually assaulted a minor and uploaded her explicit photos and videos online.

The Court emphasised that in the digital age, such acts have grave and irreversible consequences, going far beyond criminal punishment.

It noted that circulating such content severely affects the victim’s dignity, privacy, and future, as online material can spread indefinitely.

Highlighting the seriousness of the offence, the Court stressed that the harm caused to minors continues long after the act itself.
