Delhi HC Denies Extension of Interm Bail to Kuldeep Singh In Unnao Rape Case, Orders Surrender

The Delhi High Court refused to extend medical bail for expelled BJP MLA and Unnao rape case convict Kuldeep Singh Sengar.

A division bench of Justices Navin Chawla and Shalinder Kaur noted that Sengar's plea for extension was not served to the survivor's counsel.

Sengar, who was initially granted interim bail till January 20 for medical assessment, cited a scheduled cataract surgery at AIIMS on January 24. The Court directed him to surrender as ordered.

In a separate case concerning the custodial death of the survivor's father, the Court declined further relief, listing matters for January 22.
