Delhi High Court Denies Relief to Judicial Aspirant Despite Flawed Answer Key

The Delhi High Court dismissed a petition by a 2023 Delhi Judicial Service Exam candidate, despite agreeing that an official answer key was legally flawed.

The candidate answered that contracts under mutual mistake of fact are “void” under Section 20 of the Contract Act, but was marked wrong.

Though the Court acknowledged the correctness of this claim, it denied relief, citing judicial discipline and an earlier bench decision that minor answer key errors shouldn't affect selection outcomes.

The previous ruling was also upheld by the Supreme Court, leading the Court to dismiss the plea while regretting its inability to assist the aspirant.
