The Delhi High Court has declined to register an FIR against an art gallery that is alleged to have displayed paintings created by late artist MF Husain that portray Hindu deities in an offensive manner.
The decision was grounded on the basis that the matter was already before a trial court as a complaint case and could be examined in due course.
The Court further confirmed that the paintings in question have already been seized by the police along with other relevant evidence.
