The Delhi High Court has granted interim protection from arrest to businessman Vicky Ramancha, accused of supplying counterfeit doses of anti-diabetic drug Ozempic worth $18.8 million to the US.
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna directed that no coercive action be taken against him until September 22, while ordering him to cooperate with investigators and appear before the Investigating Officer on August 25.
The Order comes days after a sessions court denied him anticipatory bail, citing risks to public health.
US-based Assure Global LLC alleges Ramancha supplied spurious drugs through international firms, leading to the FDA seizure of the shipment.
