Urban Company Seeks Relief Against Kent RO Systems Over Product Delisting Issue from E-Commerce Site

Urban Company has filed a suit in the Delhi High Court against Kent RO Systems, alleging that Kent caused significant losses by having its water purifiers delisted from Amazon and Flipkart during festive sales.

Urban Company, known for its home services marketplace, launched its Native water purifiers in 2023, which Kent claims infringe on its patented reverse osmosis (RO) technology.

While the Court had issued a summons to Kent in 2024, it did not restrain Urban Company from selling the purifiers.

The case, now adjourned to January 21, sees Kent seeking time to explore an amicable resolution.
