Delhi HC Notices Uber Over Driver's Alleged Bias Against Visually Impaired

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Uber India regarding a plea alleging discrimination against a visually impaired individual by a driver.

The case revolves around a petition filed by Rahul Bajaj, a visually impaired advocate, against Uber India after the Uber driver refused to assist him to a cafe, claiming it was a waste of time.

Bajaj alleges inadequate disability training by Uber and seeks compensation and better accessibility under the  Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

The Delhi HC has requested responses from Uber and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways regarding these issues.
