Delhi High Court Judge Recuses from Hearing Contempt Plea Against Arvind Kejriwal Over Viral Court Videos

Justice Tejas Karia of the Delhi High Court recused himself from hearing a PIL seeking contempt action against Arvind Kejriwal, AAP leaders, and journalist Ravish Kumar.

The plea, filed by advocate Vaibhav Singh, objects to the unauthorized recording and social media circulation of court proceedings involving Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma.

The petitioner alleged a conspiracy to malign the judiciary’s image by sharing viral clips of Kejriwal arguing his case. Previously, the High Court administration requested Delhi Police action against these unauthorized recordings. Following

Justice Karia's recusal, a different Bench will hear the matter on Thursday.
