The Delhi High Court quashed FIRs filed by neighbours against each other after a scuffle during a dog walk, directing both sides to donate ₹10,000 each to a dog shelter.
Justice Arun Monga observed the case “redefines for the love of dogs,” adding that continuing proceedings would fuel hostility while quashing them would promote goodwill.
The altercation took place on February 19, 2024, leading to cross-allegations under IPC sections including 323, 341, and 354.
As both sides amicably settled, the Court invoked its inherent powers to end the case and promote harmony.
