The Delhi High Court has expressed skepticism regarding the viability of a petition that contests the AAP's commitment to a ₹2,100 monthly allowance for women under the Mahila Samman Yojana.
Justice Jyoti Singh recommended submitting a public interest litigation (PIL) instead of an election petition and postponed the case until January 30. The petitioner, Vijay Kumar argued that AAP is deceiving voters with a scheme that does not exist, as various government departments have distanced themselves from it.
He further requested the court to instruct the Election Commission to respond to his complaint submitted on January 3 and suspend AAP's registration process, claiming it could mislead female voters in Delhi.
