Delhi HC Refuses Gensol's Plea to Halt Mahindra's Sale of 'eZEO' EV

  • Case Name: Gensol EV vs. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited
  • Judge(s): Justice Amit Bansal

The Delhi High Court rejected Gensol Electric Vehicles' request for an interim injunction to stop Mahindra Last Mile Mobility from selling its 'eZEO' EV.

Gensol alleged trademark infringement, citing its ownership of 'eZio' under Class 12 and potential consumer confusion.

However, the court deemed Gensol's plea premature, noting Mahindra's trademark application for 'eZEO' is pending.

Mahindra, which already launched 'eZEO' for last-mile delivery, was given 10 days to respond. Meanwhile, Gensol plans to unveil its 'Ezio' EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

The court will reconsider the matter after receiving Mahindra's response.
