Delhi High Court Refuses Interim Relief to Wrestler Vinesh Phogat for Asian Games Trials

The Bench declined to pass an order without hearing the Wrestling Federation of India, noting that granting urgent entry could disrupt selection procedures if her main petition ultimately fails.

Phogat challenged the federation's new policy and an ineligibility notice linked to retirement return guidelines, arguing that it unfairly penalizes female athletes coming off maternity leave.

The Court directed the federation to resolve its pending show-cause notice regarding indiscipline allegations, listing the matter for a detailed hearing on July 6.
