Delhi HC Refuses to Quash FIR Against Students in Visa Fraud Case

The Delhi High Court dismissed a petition to quash an FIR against students Padi Sai Chandu Reddy and Deva Maneesh, accused of visa fraud based on a 2022 US Embassy complaint.

Justice Subramonium Prasad, in a December 17 order, held the students accountable for submitting forged documents, ruling them as perpetrators of fraud rather than victims

Reddy falsely claimed to have completed a Machine Learning with Python course, while Maneesh submitted fabricated employment records as an IT manager. Both admitted their documents were fake.

The court rejected their plea, stating the fraud was deliberate and not a result of societal victimization.
