The Delhi High Court dismissed ex-IAS trainee Puja Khedkar’s anticipatory bail plea, accusing her of fraudulently availing OBC and PwBD benefits to clear CSE-2022 exams and secure Maharashtra Cadre.
Justice Chandra Dhari Singh noted a prima facie strong case, observing that Khedkar forged documents to exploit schemes meant for disadvantaged groups. Evidence revealed her family assets, including 23 properties, 12 vehicles, and luxury cars, contradicting her claimed income of ₹6 lakhs.
The court emphasized the need for custodial interrogation to ensure a thorough investigation and prevent hampering with evidence or witnesses.
UPSC canceled her candidature on July 31, 2024, and permanently barred her from future exams.
