The Delhi High Court restrained several defendants from using the trademark and packaging of ‘GHAR SOAPS’ and directed e-commerce platforms to block infringing listings.
The Court held that the plaintiff established a prima facie case of infringement and passing off, noting that counterfeit listings created consumer confusion and harmed goodwill.
Platforms were ordered to act on complaints within 48 hours and file compliance affidavits.
The Court also allowed exemptions under the Commercial Courts Act and directed timelines for written statements.
The matter will next be heard before the Joint Registrar on September 25 and before the Court on November 25, 2025
