Delhi HC Issues notice to Google on Aaradhya Bachchan’s Plea Against Misleading Content

The Delhi High Court has sought Google’s response after Aaradhya Bachchan, daughter of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, requested an ex-parte decision against YouTube channels spreading misleading information about her health.

She argued the defendants had failed to appear in court.

In April 2023, the court restrained multiple YouTube channels from publishing false content, stating that spreading disinformation about a child reflects "morbid perversity."

Aaradhya’s application, filed alongside her father, seeks a summary judgment in the ongoing lawsuit.

The court has posted the matter for hearing on March 17 and may pass a decree in her favour if the defendants continue to remain absent.
