The Delhi High Court will proceed with Tesla Inc’s trademark case against Tesla Power India after mediation efforts failed.
The dispute began in May 2024 when Elon Musk’s Tesla objected to the Indian company’s use of the "TESLA" trademark and its alleged entry into the electric vehicle market.
Tesla Power India initially assured the court it had no intention to manufacture EVs. However, Musk’s Tesla later claimed the company was producing e-scooters under its brand name.
The High Court had earlier sought details of Tesla Power India’s EV sales and stock. The Court noted that the mediation had failed and decided to hear the matter on April 15.
