The Delhi High Court upheld an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) finding against a Delhi University professor, confirming he committed sexual harassment under the POSH Act.
The complaint, filed by a female student member of the ICC, alleges that the professor made repeated sexual advances via WhatsApp, forced her to sign an apology for pursuing the complaint, and issued threats.
After reviewing the evidence, the High Court ruled that the ICC had followed a fair, unbiased process and that the conduct met the definition of sexual harassment in the workplace. [Dr. Amit Kumar v. University of Delhi]
