Delhi High Court Virtual Court Proceedings Hacked with Obscene Videos, Police Probe Initiated
Virtual hearings before the Delhi High Court were recently disrupted multiple times after an unidentified person allegedly played obscene and pornographic videos during video conferencing proceedings.
The disruptions reportedly occurred during hearings before Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia, forcing court staff to repeatedly pause and restart the proceedings.
Following the incident, the High Court administration filed a complaint with the IFSO unit of Delhi Police seeking investigation into possible cyber intrusion and unauthorised interference with judicial proceedings.
The episode has also raised serious concerns regarding cybersecurity vulnerabilities and safeguards in virtual court infrastructure.
