The Delhi High Court rebuked Baba Ramdev for releasing a new video with communal remarks against Hamdard, despite a prior undertaking to refrain from such content.
Justice Amit Bansal warned of contempt proceedings, noting Ramdev “lives in his own world.” The Patanjali co-founder had agreed to pull down videos targeting Hamdard’s Rooh Afza, accusing the company of funding madrasas.
Despite compliance with the earlier order, the Court was informed of a new, similar video. Ramdev's counsel promised removal within 24 hours, avoiding immediate contempt action. The Court will assess compliance on May 2.
