Delhi HC: Wow! Momo Cannot Claim Monopoly on "Wow"

The Delhi High Court observed that Wow! Momo cannot claim a monopoly on the word "Wow" in the restaurant industry. Justice Amit Bansal made this remark while hearing Wow! Momo’s plea to prevent Hong Kong-based Wow Burger from entering India.

The Court noted that "Wow" is a common term in the sector and may not be exclusive. It also refused to grant an ex-parte interim order against Wow Burger’s entry into India. 

The case will be further considered in January, after Wow Burger's response. Recently, the Court had restrained other establishments, like Wow! Delicious, from using similar marks.
