The Delhi High Court directed Delhi University to complete the admission of two BPL-category students who were unable to pay their first-semester fees on time due to financial hardship.
Both students had secured seats in the School of Open Learning but were unable to pay the fee within the stipulated time.
The Court allowed them to deposit the fee within ten days and directed DU to complete their admission after payment.
It clarified that the relief was granted based on the specific circumstances of the case and would not serve as a precedent.
