Delhi High Court Closes Hamdard's Case After Ramdev Deletes 'Sharbat Jihad' Videos

The Delhi High Court has closed the defamation suit filed by the Hamdard National Foundation India against Yoga Guru Ramdev over his “Sharbat Jihad” remark targeting Rooh Afza.

The decision came after Ramdev and Patanjali Foods submitted affidavits confirming the removal of the controversial videos and posts.

Hamdard had sought the takedown of Ramdev's content, in which he alleged Rooh Afza profits funded madrasas and mosques, though Ramdev later denied naming any brand or community.

The court bound Ramdev and Patanjali by their affidavits and decreed the suit on that basis. Hamdard did not pursue additional relief, and the matter now stands closed.
