The Delhi High Court has ordered the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to install sanitary pad vending machines in women's toilets across all metro stations.
The directive came while hearing a plea highlighting the lack of accessible menstrual hygiene products in public spaces. The court emphasized the importance of addressing women's health needs and asked DMRC to submit a compliance report.
The petitioner argued that such facilities are essential for gender equality and public health. DMRC must now implement the order, ensuring better hygiene access for female commuters.
