Delhi High Court Directs PWD to Submit Status Report on District Court Toilet Renovations

The Delhi High Court directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to file a status report on the renovation and construction of toilets in district courts.

Justice Jyoti Singh observed that despite earlier directions, progress has been unsatisfactory and stressed that proper sanitation facilities are essential for litigants, lawyers, and staff.

The Court recalled its 2023 order highlighting the need for improved judicial infrastructure and expressed concern over continued delays.

The PWD has been granted four weeks to submit its report, after which the matter will be listed for further hearing.
