The Delhi High Court has established a five-member Fact-Finding Committee to address governance issues in Equestrian sports.
The committee will evaluate infrastructure, athlete participation, and club contributions. This decision arose from a petition by the Rajasthan Equestrian Association challenging exemptions granted to the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) under the Sports Code.
The court deemed these relaxations arbitrary, emphasizing the need for inclusivity and governance reforms.
The committee has three months to report its findings, which will guide future policies for the sport's development.
