The Delhi High Court has directed authorities to take proactive measures to enhance digital accessibility in higher education and bridge the widening digital divide among students.
The Court was hearing a public interest litigation filed by a Class 12 student seeking effective implementation of the National Education Policy, 2020, particularly its focus on digital libraries and technological infrastructure.
Observing that the responsibility for execution rests with the concerned government departments and educational regulators, the Bench permitted the petitioner to submit a comprehensive representation outlining specific measures for improvement.
The authorities were instructed to duly consider the representation and take an appropriate decision in accordance with the law.
