Delhi High Court Grants Bail To Wrestler Sushil Kumar In Sagar Dhankar Murder Case

The Delhi High Court granted regular bail to Wrestler Sushil Kumar in the murder case of Sagar Dhankar- a 27-year-old former junior national wrestling champion in May 2021.

Kumar is currently held in Tihar Jail in the case and was granted bail on a bond of Rs. 50,000 with two sureties. He was also previously granted interim bail for his knee surgery.

A prima facie case was found for the murder of Dhankar, who was abducted, brought to the stadium, and severely beaten by several of the accused, leading to his death. Charges were framed against Kumar and 17 others in October 2022.
