  • Case Name: Moti Mahal Pvt.Ltd. Vs M/S. Srmj Business Promoters Pvt. Ltd
  • Judge(s): Justice Mini Pushkarna
  • Advocate(s): Shreya Sethi and Anirudh Bhatia

The Delhi High Court granted interim relief to Moti Mahal Delux in its trademark dispute with former franchisee SRMJ Business Promoters.

Moti Mahal alleged that SRMJ continued using its registered trademarks, "Moti Mahal Delux" and "Moti Mahal Delux Tandoori Trail," after the franchise agreement ended, misleading the public and exploiting its goodwill.

The court, citing Section 29 of the Trademarks Act, 1999, issued an injunction, ordering SRMJ to remove references to Moti Mahal from hoardings and social media platforms.

The case is scheduled for further hearing on May 6, 2025.
