The Delhi High Court granted interim bail to a murder accused for laser surgery for varicose veins, noting he needs hospitalization and bed rest.
The Court directed him to mark attendance with the Investigating Officer by video call twice a week, instead of visiting the police station.
The petitioner was earlier on custody parole for treatment, and doctors advised further surgery. The State opposed the bail, arguing that the treatment could be done in custody.
The Court allowed two weeks’ interim bail on a personal bond of ₹50,000 with sureties and required the accused to keep his mobile active at all times.
