The Delhi High Court has granted two days parole to imprisoned MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh to attend parliament sessions on February 11 & 13.
But the court has ordered him to be accompanied by armed police officers & subject to limitations such as no access to media and prohibited use of mobile phones.
Rashid is facing trial in a terror funding case with allegations of sponsoring terrorism groups in Jammu & Kashmir. NIA has denied the bail application due to security concerns.
Therefore, he had no legal recourse left except to apply for parole.
