The Delhi High Court had released the Draft Arbitration Rules of 2023, proposing procedural guidelines for various matters under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
The draft rules set out procedures for filing petitions and applications, the structure and functioning of arbitral tribunals, and prescribed formats for filings. They also grant the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court the power to amend the rules when necessary.
Stakeholders have been invited to submit written objections and suggestions via email by July 5, 2025.
These rules aim to streamline arbitration proceedings and improve consistency in arbitration-related litigation before the High Court.
