Delhi High Court Summons Newslaundry in Eduquity Defamation Case

The Delhi High Court summoned Newslaundry in a defamation suit instituted by Eduquity Career Technologies concerning an article allegedly portraying the company in a negative light. The report linked Eduquity to exam leaks and cheating controversies.

Justice Jyoti Singh directed Newslaundry to file its response and issued notice on the petitioner’s application for interim relief.

Eduquity’s counsel contended that the article’s allegations were being widely circulated through defamatory videos, whereas Newslaundry maintained that the report, published over a year ago, relied on verified facts.

The Court scheduled hearings to consider the submissions of both parties before determining further action.
