Delhi High Court Summons Red Chillies & Netflix in Wankhede Defamation Case

The Delhi High Court has issued summons to Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix India in a defamation suit filed by IRS officer Sameer Wankhede concerning the portrayal of his character in the web series The Ba**ds of Bollywood.

Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav directed that the summons be served via email or alternate means and listed the matter for further hearing. The petition alleges that the series wrongly depicted Wankhede as corrupt and dishonest.

The respondents are required to appear and contest the allegations.
