The Delhi High Court converted its earlier interim order into a permanent injunction against a YouTube channel that impersonated journalist Anjana Om Kashyap by using her photos, edited clips, and news-style videos without consent.
The defendant never appeared despite being served, and the Court found that such impersonation could mislead viewers and fuel misinformation. Google had already removed the channel and provided subscriber details in line with earlier directives.
Since the plaintiffs did not pursue damages, the Court closed the case while permanently restraining any future misuse of Kashyap’s name or likeness.
