The Delhi High Court has ruled against Amazon, ordering it to pay ₹340 crore in damages to Lifestyle Equities CV for trademark infringement related to the unauthorized sale of "Beverly Hills Polo Club" products.

Justice Prathiba M. Singh highlighted the rise of "e-infringement" in e-commerce and stressed the need for a legal framework to protect intellectual property rights. The Court found that Amazon and Cloudtail India were closely linked and could not evade liability.
