Delhi High Court Orders RBL Bank to UnFreeze Shine.com Bank Account Amid Fraud Complaints

The Delhi High Court directed RBL Bank to unfreeze the account of HT Media-owned Shine.com, a job recruitment platform, which was earlier frozen following fraud complaints lodged with the Gujarat Police. 

Justice Vikas Mahajan, hearing HT Media’s plea, noted that only two transactions were in dispute and ordered a lien of ₹10 lakh instead of a complete freeze. 

HT Media argued that multiple account freezes, due to third-party fraudsters posing as Shine.com representatives, caused financial hardship and disrupted salary payments.

The Court also directed the bank to inform the company before taking future adverse action.
