The Delhi High Court asked the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to explain its directive restricting candidates from publicly discussing their exam papers.
The Court noted that such a prohibition may impinge upon the constitutional right to free speech under Article 19(1)(a).
The petitioners, a group of SSC aspirants, contended that the ban lacked legal backing and undermined transparency in recruitment exams.
The bench directed SSC to file a detailed affidavit clarifying the purpose and legality of the restriction. The matter is now listed for further hearing after the Commission’s response.
