Delhi HC Records Undertaking by Bombay Shaving Company to Remove Instagram Reel After Philips’ Trademark Compl

The Delhi High Court recorded an undertaking by Bombay Shaving Company to take down an Instagram reel promoting its Omniblade product, after Philips alleged trademark infringement and unfair competition.

Philips argued that the reel created consumer confusion with its grooming products. The Court directed that the reel be removed within 36 hours from all social media accounts operated by the company or its representatives.

Summons were also issued in the suit, with the defendants given 30 days to file their written statement and Philips the same time for replication. The matter will proceed on the merits.
