Delhi High Court Relaxes Deadline to Form School-Level Fee Regulation Committees till Feb 20

The Delhi High Court has extended the deadline for constituting School-Level Fee Regulation Committees (SLFRCs) till February 20, 2026, granting interim relief to private schools across the capital.

The order was passed while hearing petitions challenging the Delhi School Education (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2026.

The Court observed that extending the timeline would not prejudice the interests of students, parents, or school managements, especially when the validity of the notification itself is under judicial consideration.

It clarified that the extension is temporary and subject to the final outcome of the case, ensuring a balanced approach between regulatory oversight and practical implementation concerns.
