Delhi High Court Restrains 56 Rogue Websites from Streaming Maalik and Sarbala Ji Movie Content

The Delhi High Court has issued an ad-interim injunction restraining 56 rogue websites from illegally and unauthorisedly streaming the films Maalik and Sarbalaji, owned by Tips Films Limited.

The Court directed domain name registrars to lock and suspend these websites’ domain registrations and disclose full ownership and payment details. Internet service providers must also block access to these sites immediately. 

The Court clarified that legitimate sites mistakenly blocked can approach it with a non-infringement undertaking. Tips Films argued that these rogue sites use privacy services to hide their ownership, making enforcement difficult.
