The Delhi High Court restrained Priya Kapur and Mandhira Kapur Smith from making defamatory statements against each other in a family dispute following the death of industrialist Sunjay Kapur.
The Court observed that both parties must conduct themselves with dignity. The Court issued notice in an interim application filed in a defamation suit against Mandhira Kapur and Pooja Chaudhri, host of the InControversial podcast.
Priya Kapur has sought ₹20 crore in damages, alleging that statements made in the podcast portrayed her as an outsider attempting to control the Kapur family legacy and assets.
She contends that the remarks were malicious, defamatory and widely amplified on digital platforms. The matter is now listed for hearing on May 14.
