Delhi High Court Delivers Split Verdict on Plea for Government-Funded Travel from Jail

The Delhi High Court delivered a split verdict on jailed MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh’s plea seeking government funding for travel and security expenses incurred during his attendance in Parliament from Tihar Jail.

The Division Bench of Justices Anup Jairam Bhambhani and Vivek Chaudhary differed in opinion; Justice Bhambhani held that the government should bear the expenses, while Justice Chaudhary ruled otherwise.
