Delhi High Court Restrains Bukhara Inn from Using ITC’s ‘BUKHARA’ Trademark

The Delhi High Court granted interim relief to ITC Limited, restraining Bukhara Inn from using the mark “BUKHARA” or any deceptively similar name for its hospitality services in a trademark infringement and passing-off suit.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora observed that ITC enjoys long-standing reputation and goodwill in the “BUKHARA” mark, and the defendant’s identical usage on travel platforms was prima facie not bona fide.

The Court held that such use amounted to infringement of ITC’s well-known trademark and issued an ad-interim injunction.
