Ownership Dispute Over Digi Yatra Digital Ecosystem to Be Decided by Delhi High Court

The Delhi High Court is set to determine the ownership of the Digi Yatra digital ecosystem, used for biometric airport entry.

The dispute involves the Digi Yatra Foundation (DYF) and software developer Data Evolve Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The Court has framed issues to decide whether DYF holds rights over the Digi Yatra Central Ecosystem and its intellectual property.

DYF claims all developed software belongs to it, while Data Evolve asserts ownership over the software architecture.

The Court had earlier granted an injunction restraining Data Evolve from using, transferring, or copying passenger data associated with the system. The final ownership determination will be made at trial.
