The Delhi High Court will hear IRS officer Sameer Wankhede’s defamation suit next month against Red Chillies Entertainment, Netflix, and others over his portrayal in the web series “Ba**ds of Bollywood.”
Wankhede contended that the series was “deliberately conceptualised and executed” to malign his image in a “colourable and prejudicial manner,” particularly while the related criminal proceedings involving him and Aryan Khan were still pending before competent courts.
He sought ₹2 crores in damages and a permanent injunction restraining further streaming or circulation of the show.
The Court took note of his allegations and directed the matter to be listed for a detailed hearing next month.
