Delhi High Court Upholds Charges Against Club Owners for Serving Hookah, Liquor to Minors

  • Case Name: Naresh Kumar Jain v. State & Other Connected Matter

The Delhi High Court has upheld charges against two club owners accused of serving hookah and liquor to minors.

The Court noted that they allegedly deleted CCTV footage to obstruct the investigation, warranting charges under multiple laws.

The case originated after a minor’s mother reported her 13-year-old girl was missing and alleged that the clubs provided intoxicants to her child. The accused face charges under the IPC, POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, Delhi Excise Act, and Delhi Police Act.

Dismissing the revision petitions filed by club owners, the court affirmed the trial court’s decision, with liability to be determined during trial.
