Additional Sessions Judge Shefali Barnala Tandon of Patiala House Courts conducted a hearing from her residence at 2:25 AM on November 14 to hear the Enforcement Directorate’s plea for 14-day remand of Swaraj Singh Yadav in a money-laundering case.
When the hearing began, Yadav’s lawyer had not yet arrived; the court allowed Yadav to call his father to arrange the lawyer’s contact. The lawyer arrived at 3:05 AM, followed by a 20-minute private consultation before the court resumed proceedings at 3:30 AM.
After arguments, the judge passed the remand order at 6:10 AM, sending Yadav to ED custody until November 28.
