Elvish Yadav Challenges Chargesheet and Summons in Snake Venom Case

YouTuber Elvish Yadav has approached the Allahabad High Court to contest the chargesheet and summons issued against him in a case alleging the use of snakes and snake venom at rave parties.

The case involves charges under the Wildlife Protection Act, IPC Sections 284, 289, 120B, and the NDPS Act.

Yadav argues that the informant lacked authorization to file the FIR, no snakes or narcotics were recovered from him, and no direct link to co-accused individuals has been established. He claims the case is media-driven and baseless.

Previously, a 1,200-page chargesheet was filed, citing forensic evidence and 24 witnesses. Yadav was arrested on March 17, 2024, and granted bail five days later.
