Stop The Sale Of Illegal Prescription Drugs: High Court Directs CBI and Narcotics Bureau

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered the CBI and NCB to carry out random checks to stop chemists from selling prescription drugs without a valid prescription. 

A report from the CBI showed that banned drugs were being sold illegally, with fake prescriptions being used to hide the sales.

The court had earlier asked the agencies to take stronger action against the illegal drug trade.

It also directed the CBI to investigate the issue and called for full cooperation from Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh police in the efforts to control drug sales.
